I would recommend that you have some hobbies that develop yourself. It all adds up to helping you feel better about your situation, which increases your self esteem. My interests became music and language learning. Out of these two I believe learning an instrument can be the most rewarding for somebody with mental health issues. I have learnt that it can be extremely therapeutic and more importantly, it fosters emotional resilience.
If you are unable to work through your disability there are quite a few things you could do online to help you. Recently, I have gotten into forex trading. It is definitely worth learning how to do. If you become more competent you would be able to flesh out any money you receive from work or benefits.
